Today's work...

Good day today from Media Schmedia. 12:00-1:00 PM was filled with Mckinzie, Cameron, and me accosting strangers on campus in order to get their opinions about President Obama, racism, and truth.

Then at 6:30 Cameron, Jisa, Amelia, and I all gathered to film the entire show! Good times. It only took 2 and a half hours!

Tomorrow is editing. YAY!

Media Schmedia is on the ball. We're kicking names and taking a--uh, never-mind.

We got together during class and filmed our interviews for a segment of our film. It turned out well and we got some good footage! We also got together that night in the animal science building and used the ATV set to film the rest of our movie. Everyone was there and our project is going to turn out great.

My part of the script

Script:

Me: Okay I am going to prove to you the Mr. Obama is not racist against white people considering he just fired blacks off of his staff... yea what do you think about that???

Kade: well i may or may not have known that but still that is not enough to prove that he isn’t a racist cuz maybe those people were just doing a bad job anyways! (somehow make this funny)

Me: ohhh okay well take a look at all of these guys who love obama and support him!

This will show you that plenty of white people love Obama just showing to you

that he’s not racist against them

(go through a slide of pictures of people who support him but these people all are not considered to be good people by anyone)

( I will be narrating things about that person when their picture pops up. Going to

do 3-4 people)

Kade: Did I really just watch what I think I watched?

Me: Yea you sure did... you impressed??

Kade: ummmm yea i dont know if those are the words I would use to say how I feel about this all.

Tonight! Ethics. Racism. ETHICS. RACISM. ETH-ICS, ethics, ethics. Racism, racism, racism. What’s our world coming to?

“But Kade, why do you keep repeating the words ethics and racism over and over again?” You ask with anticipation and vigor.

Logan, we have a problem. Tonight we will focus on these two problems that are ripping our nation to pieces: ethics and a racist president for our racist country. Here my right hand man, Mckinzie, with the story. ETHICS!

Thank you Mckinzie. As you can see, the ageless debate of whether or not Obama is a racist still goes on today. At the heart of this debate is none other than Glen Beck.

For issues so important as controversial as this there is one way to get to the bottom and find the truth, and that is “The Palabra”

Highly respectable Glen Beck [respected by who?] has come out to finally prove Obama hates white people [Free cookies and punch at Kade’s house for the first annual White Panther’s meeting!]. Now there has been an overwhelming opposition to Beck’s search for truth. Many have “brought it” like Obama might say to Glen Beck by spreading such slander as “Glen Beck has no proof, fact, or reason to back up his accusations” and “ Glen Beck is everything that’s wrong with the media” [Can I get an AMEN!]. But after some long, hard searching I’ve finally dug up the truth. I have found the evidence supporting Beck. Here it is…

But maybe the white people deserve it. Maybe we have brought it on ourselves due to our unabashed racism.

Here to discuss we have my two esteemed colleagues. What do you say? Has the white man brought it on themselves because of their own racism or are we just victims of ongoing hate crimes?

Hey guys, here's a rough script I wrote up while at work today...let me know of your opinions and any additions/removals I could make.

Costume: Lens-less glasses, side ponytail, shorts, weird shirt
{Kade intro's us}

K: Ms. ...is it Libby?
J: Yes, Libby Eral at your service, I go by Lib Eral. ( Get it, get it? )
K: OOoook Ms. Lib Eral, let's start with you. So, to my understanding, you hate white people. Is that correct?
J: No, no, not at all. That is absolutely absurd! (Flash "Former Black Panther" on side of screen as a caption)
J: This is my delimma, white people hate everybody except themselves.
K: Is that a fact? (Sarcastic look at camera)
A: It certainly is not! Whites <3 Obama! What proof do you have to show otherwise?
J: (Give scowling look & snap fingers, prompting clips.)
K: (Camera focuses BACK on Kade noticing he is struggling to snap his fingers.) So, Ms. _____ , your response to that?
I thought we could call Amelia (Connie Servative)

K: So Ms. _____, I understand you hate black people?
A: No, I do not! What gives you that idea?
J: (Pulls ot shoe polish from her purse--struggles with Amelia to get it, then yanks it out of her hand) "Ahah!"
K: Oooook...that was interesting.

Rough outline I thought of whilst lying in bed this morning.

Welcome back to Media Schmedia. I would like to start off by saying one word: ethics...ETHICS...ETH-ICS...ethics ethics ETHICS!

Because tonight we are going to look at two issues that are RIPPING (begin ripping up a piece of paper) our nation apart! And yes! One of these issues is that of ethics in the news. The other issue being the issue of whether or not President Obama is a racist. ETHICS!

For problems so important and debated, there is only ONE way to get to the bottom of them and find the truth, and that solution is a breakdown in tonights segment of "La Palabra"!

OK ladies and gent, this is as far as it got. I am starting to draft an outline for the segment of the word. I've got some ideas that I think could be pretty funny. Like I said, this is just a draft so we can change it or scrap it completely if needed.

WOOHOO!

Here's the scoop.

All teams sign-up for a time to present outside class, on Friday, Oct. 1, Monday, Oct. 4 or Tuesday, Oct. 5. Post at least two team preferences below as a comment. Confer with your team members and post your preferences ASAP.
If your team prefers to present in class, then projects will still be due TH Sept. 30. (Limited to three teams)
Two extra credit opportunities for teams: "Best in Show"points will be awarded to the team with the best overall project.'Tip of the Hat" points will be awarded to the team with the most creative, zaniest, clever project. Award will be based on how well the teams meet the criteria for the Truth v. Truthiness project.
